Rice‑Laden Truck Overturns in Bolangir, Driver Critically Injured

Bolangir, Odisha: A rice‑laden truck overturned near Bhoipada on the Gurunda–Bhoipada road under Muribahal police limits in Kantabanji, leaving the driver critically injured.

The truck, carrying 35 tons of rice from Raipur to Andhra Pradesh, lost balance while navigating the Bongomunda–Titlagarh route and fell off the road.

Local residents rushed to rescue the driver, who was immediately shifted to Kantabanji Medical. Doctors have confirmed his condition remains critical.

Muribahal police reached the accident site and initiated an investigation to determine whether overloading or poor road conditions contributed to the mishap.

The incident has raised concerns over heavy‑vehicle safety and transport practices in the region.
