Reliance Jio adds highest number of subscribers in Odisha in June
Bhubaneswar, Aug 2 (UNI) Reliance Jio added the highest number of new subscribers in Odisha in June, with 1.18 lakh additions across wireless, wireline, and 5G FWA segments.
According to the latest telecom subscription data released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Jio added over 97,000 new mobile subscribers and more than 21,000 JioFiber and JioAirFiber subscribers in the state during the month.
Jio continues to lead the wireless, wireline, and 5G FWA markets in Odisha with over 1.63 crore mobile subscribers, more than 3.4 lakh JioFiber subscribers, and over 1.94 lakh JioAirFiber subscribers enjoying digital services on the Jio network.
As per TRAI data, the total number of mobile subscribers in Odisha rose by over 73,000 in June, surpassing 3.53 crore in total.
Jio led the growth by adding 97,000 new mobile subscribers, followed by VI, which added only 4,576.
Nationally, Jio also topped the chart by adding over 19 lakh new mobile subscribers in June.
The company’s popular fixed wireless access (FWA) service, JioAirFiber, has now become the world’s largest FWA provider with over 74 lakh subscribers across India.
Notably, Reliance Jio crossed a significant milestone in May 2025 by surpassing 5 lakh combined JioFiber and JioAirFiber subscribers in Odisha.
Jio remains Odisha’s most preferred digital service provider, holding over 46% of the mobile subscriber market share, more than 50% in wireline, and nearly 84 percent in the 5G FWA
segment.
