Record-breaking single day thermal coal handling at Paradip Port

Bhubaneswar, Feb 15 (UNI) Continuing its streak of record-breaking operational excellence, the Paradip Port Authority (PPA) has achieved its highest-ever single-day thermal coal unloading milestone.

On February 14, 2026, PPA successfully unloaded a staggering 47 rakes, consisting of 41 BOBRN (Bogie Open Bottom Rapid Discharge) rakes and 6 BOXN (Bogie Open High Sided) rakes.

P L Haranadh, Chairman of PPA, expressed his pride in the workforce, congratulating “Team PPA” for their dedication.

He noted that this milestone is not merely a number but a testament to the sustained efforts, meticulous planning, and robust operational infrastructure currently in place at the port.

By optimising turnaround times and streamlining cargo handling processes, PPA continues to solidify its position as a critical hub for India’s energy supply chain.
