R&B Engineer Raja Kishore Jena Arrested by Odisha Vigilance for Disproportionate Assets
Bhubaneswar, July 30(OT Webdesk): In a major crackdown on corruption, the Odisha Vigilance Department has arrested Raja Kishore Jena, Assistant Engineer of Roads & Buildings Division-III, Bhubaneswar, for possessing disproportionate assets far exceeding his known sources of income.
Following extensive raids, officials uncovered a staggering portfolio of wealth including:
- A multi-storeyed residence in Niladri Vihar
- Two luxury flats in Cosmopolis, Bhubaneswar
- Commercial properties in Galleria Mall and Symphony Mall
- 13 high-value plots across prime locations
- Rs 75 lakh in bank deposits
- Rs 67 lakh spent on children’s education
Jena failed to provide satisfactory explanations for the assets, prompting the registration of Vigilance Cell PS Case No. 9/2025. He will be produced before the Special Vigilance Court in Bhubaneswar today.
This arrest is part of Odisha Vigilance’s intensified efforts to root out corruption among public servants and is expected to send strong signals across departments.
