Rayagada Girl Student Dies Amid Alleged Negligence at School Hostel
Rayagada district witnessed a tragic incident when Geeta Majhi, a Class VIII student of Ambadala Government Higher Secondary School, died suddenly at the school hostel.
According to reports, Geeta fell ill late at night and was rushed to Ambadala Primary Health Centre. Doctors declared her dead before admission.
Her family members, who live barely a kilometre away, allege that the school authorities failed to inform them about her condition in time.
Relatives and locals have accused headmaster Kola Bamanmurti and the school administration of negligence.
They claim that repeated complaints about irregularities and misconduct by the headmaster had gone unaddressed.
Police have reached the spot and initiated an investigation.
The incident has sparked outrage in the community, with demands for accountability and stricter monitoring of hostel management.
