Rayagada Forest Range Officer Nabbed in Major DA Case
Rayagada, – September 20,: In a significant crackdown on corruption, Odisha Vigilance has arrested Antarjyami Sahu, Forest Range Officer of Kashipur, Rayagada district, for possessing assets grossly disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The arrest follows extensive raids across nine locations, revealing a staggering portfolio of properties and valuables.
The vigilance team unearthed five buildings located in Kandhamal, Berhampur, and Daringbadi, along with nine plots—six near Baliguda and three in Ganjam.
Investigators also seized 263.22 grams of gold ornaments, Rs 27.99 lakhs in bank and postal deposits, and Rs 9.43 lakhs in cash and household items.
Sahu, who began his career as a Forester in 2007 and was promoted to Forest Range Officer in August 2023, will be produced before the Special Vigilance Court in Jeypore.
The case has been registered under Koraput Vigilance PS Case No. 28/2025.
The valuation of the seized assets is ongoing, and further legal proceedings are expected to follow.
