Five staff members of a private English‑medium school—including four teachers (one female) and a peon—have been arrested.
They face charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The case came to light after the girl’s mother lodged an FIR on February 21, 2026.
Investigators revealed that the survivor was subjected to repeated abuse inside the school premises over two years, involving coercion, threats, and inducements to keep her silent.
The school, operating for nearly 24 years with around 600 students and 20 teachers, is now under scrutiny.
Authorities have assured fast‑tracked judicial handling, with a Special Public Prosecutor to be appointed for the trial.
The survivor has received medical treatment.
