Rahurekha Lagi Ritual at Puri Srimandir Today: Darshan Suspended Till 6:30 PM

Puri, (OT Webdesk)— The revered Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri is conducting the Rahurekha Lagi ritual today, marking a spiritually significant moment on the Bhadra Krushna Chaturthi Tithi.

The temple administration confirmed that the ceremonial proceedings began with the First Bhog Mandap, followed by the Rahurekha Lagi between 2:30 PM and 6:30 PM.

During this sacred window, public darshan has been suspended, and the Singhadwar (main entrance) remains closed.

The Rahurekha, a golden circular ornament placed on the foreheads of Lord Jagannath and His siblings, symbolises divine protection and auspiciousness.

This confidential ritual is performed by select servitors behind closed doors, away from public view.

Temple authorities have urged devotees to plan their visits accordingly. Darshan will resume after 6:30 PM, with large crowds expected for the first glimpse of the deities post-ritual.
