Pushkara Shines Nationally as Best Odia Film at 71st National Film Awards

In a landmark moment for Odia cinema, Pushkara, produced by Tarang Cine Productions, has been honoured as the Best Odia Feature Film at the prestigious 71st National Film Awards.

The award was presented by President Droupadi Murmu at a grand ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

Directed by Subhranshu Das and based on the acclaimed Odia novel Nadabindu by Sankar Tripathy, Pushkara stars Sabyasachi Mishra and Supriya Nayak in lead roles.

The film delves into themes of love, tradition, and cultural identity, set against the vibrant backdrop of Puri’s sacred rituals such as Sahi Jata, Kartika Purnima, and Boita Bandana.

Subhranshu Das will receive the coveted Rajat Kamal along with a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh, marking a significant milestone for the regional film industry.

The recognition not only celebrates cinematic excellence but also brings Odia storytelling to the national spotlight.
