During this period, several trains will be short‑terminated or short‑originated at nearby stations such as Sakhigopal, Bir Purushottampur, Khurda Road, and Malatipatpur.

Affected trains include Lokmanya Tilak Terminus–Puri Express, Gandhidham–Puri Express, Kamakhya–Puri Express, Tirupati–Puri Express, Sealdah–Puri Duronto Express, Valsad–Puri Express, Sambalpur–Puri Intercity Express, Indore–Puri Express, Sri Ganganagar–Puri Express, Rourkela–Puri Express, Talcher–Puri MEMU, and Howrah–Puri Express.

To ease passenger inconvenience, bus services will connect alternate stations with Puri. Authorities have advised travellers to check NTES or Railway Enquiry before planning journeys.

This upgrade marks a major step toward modernising Puri station, ensuring smoother operations and improved facilities for passengers in the long run.
