Puri Jagannath Temple to Launch Dhadi Darshan, Enhancing Devotee Experience

PURI,  — In a major move to streamline the pilgrim experience, the iconic Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri is set to introduce a queue-based darshan system known as “Dhadi Darshan.” Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan announced that the new system will be implemented within seven days following the relocation of the temple’s hundis (donation boxes), which is already underway.

The Dhadi Darshan initiative aims to reduce overcrowding, improve security, and elevate the spiritual atmosphere for devotees.

Temple authorities anticipate a smoother, more organised flow of visitors once the system is in place.

During his visit to Angul, Minister Harichandan also reviewed delayed infrastructure projects and issued directives to accelerate development.

Key announcements included the construction of 25 km of rural roads in each Assembly segment and the repair of urban roads before Durga Puja, with a deadline set for September 22.

These combined efforts reflect the government’s commitment to both spiritual and civic upliftment across Odisha.
