Bhubaneswar,(Orissa Today) Feb 8: Odisha Governor and Chancellor of universities, Hari Babu Kambhampati, has appointed Prof Dipak Kumar Sahoo as the new Vice Chancellor of Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla. The announcement was made on Saturday, marking a crucial development in the leadership of one of Odisha’s premier technical institutions.
Prof Sahoo, 59, is currently a Professor at the School of Engineering at Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT). With 14 years of teaching experience, he has contributed significantly to academia, mentoring six researchers to successfully obtain their PhD degrees under his guidance.
A distinguished academician, Prof Sahoo has published numerous research papers and journals across various engineering and technology disciplines. His extensive research work and commitment to education have earned him recognition in academic circles.
His appointment as the Vice Chancellor is expected to bring fresh perspectives and strategic advancements to VSSUT. The university community anticipates that his expertise and leadership will play a vital role in enhancing research, innovation, and technical education standards at the institution.
