Private Tutor sent to judicial custody for making obscene photos of former student viral
Kendrapara, Aug 23 (UNI) The Marshaghai police have arrested a private tutor for allegedly circulating obscene photos of his former girl student on social media.
The accused, identified as Rajesh Behera (29) of Badakul village, used to conduct private tuition classes for high school students of Badakul and Ashram Balikuda villages.
The victim, a minor girl currently studying in Plus Two second year at a local college under Marshaghai police limits, had attended his tuition classes from Class VIII to Class X.
According to police, Behera allegedly made the girl’s obscene photos viral after she refused to meet him. The victim later informed her parents, following which her mother lodged an FIR at the Marshaghai police station.
Based on the complaint, police registered a case and arrested Behera. He has been booked under Sections 246, 75(2), 78(2), and 351(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS); Section 12 of the POCSO Act; and Sections 66(E), 67, and 67(A) of the IT Act.
He was produced before the ADJ-cum-Special POCSO Court, Kendrapara, which remanded him to judicial custody, Marshaghai IIC Tapan Kumar Nayak said.
