Pride of Odisha Samman Utsav 2.0: Odisha Governor Honors Changemakers for Social Impact
Bhubaneswar: The Pride of Odisha Samman Utsav – Season 2.0, organised by Argus News, honoured changemakers across diverse fields in a grand ceremony attended by Odisha Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati.
Addressing the gathering, the Governor emphasised that true greatness lies in serving others, describing service as the supreme duty of humanity.
He praised the awardees as “real heroes of Odisha” for their contributions in education, social security, environmental conservation, and care for marginalised communities.
Dr Kambhampati urged society to embrace empathy and responsibility in an era dominated by technology, cautioning against the growing tendency to seek recognition rather than extending help.
He highlighted pressing challenges such as climate change, crimes against women and children, and social inequalities, stressing the need for collective action.
