Cuttack, July 15(OT Webdesk): Addressing the 13th convocation of Ravenshaw University, President Droupadi Murmu urged students to rise beyond employment-seeking mindsets and embrace innovation-driven entrepreneurship.
She emphasised the need for young Indians to become job creators, contributing to inclusive growth and societal upliftment.
Citing the legacy of Utkal Gourav Madhusudan Das and the Utkal Tannery, she encouraged self-reliance through visionary ventures.
The President fondly reflected on her emotional bond with the university, calling it a “Shaligram” of knowledge and values, shaped by her daughter’s academic journey there.
President Murmu also acknowledged the academic excellence of female students, who have outperformed their male counterparts in the past two years. She praised this trend as a beacon of empowerment and progress.
In her concluding remarks, the President reminded students to stay grounded in Indian heritage and uphold values of responsibility and pride. “Your education is not just a stepping stone—it is a platform to serve the nation,” she said.
