President Murmu to Fly Rafale Jet in Historic Ambala Sortie
In a landmark moment for India’s defence and leadership, President Droupadi Murmu is set to take a sortie in the Rafale fighter jet on October 29, 2025, during her visit to the Indian Air Force base in Ambala, Haryana.
This marks her second experience aboard a fighter aircraft, following her Sukhoi 30 MKI flight at Tezpur Air Force Station in April 2023.
The Rafale sortie symbolises India’s growing air power and the strategic importance of the French-origin jet in bolstering national security.
President Murmu’s participation underscores the evolving role of leadership in showcasing military capability and inspiring national pride.
The Ambala airbase, one of the key operational hubs for the Rafale fleet, will host this high-profile event, which is expected to resonate across defence circles and the broader public.
