President Murmu Inspires ISS, ISDS, CES Probationers to Serve with Integrity and Innovation

New Delhi, September 29: Probationers from the Indian Statistical Service (ISS), Indian Skill Development Service (ISDS), and Central Engineering Service (CES) were addressed by President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan today, where she underscored the transformative role of civil services in shaping India’s future.

In her speech, President Murmu emphasised the critical importance of data-driven governance, skill development, and sustainable infrastructure.

She urged ISS officers to uphold analytical precision, noting that “sound policy formulation and implementation depend on accurate statistical analysis.”

To ISDS probationers, she highlighted the role of skill-building in economic progress, calling skill and knowledge “the true engines of growth.” She expressed confidence in their ability to build a globally competitive workforce.

Addressing CES officers, the President stressed the need for innovation and environmental responsibility in engineering and infrastructure development. She encouraged organisations like CPWD to lead with sustainable practices.

President Murmu concluded by reminding all probationers of their dual responsibility—not only to implement policy but also to provide feedback that strengthens governance. “By serving with passion and integrity, you can contribute to the making of a nation that is more prosperous, resilient, and inclusive,” she said.

Her message reinforced the significance of civil services in driving inclusive development and positioning India as a global model of progress.
