President Droupadi Murmu to attend Rath Yatra and NISER convocation

Bhubaneswar, (Orissa Today), June 26: President Droupadi Murmu is set to commence a three-day visit to Odisha starting July 6, according to sources on Wednesday. During her visit, Murmu plans to participate in the Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath and his siblings in Puri on July 7-8.

She is also scheduled to attend the convocation of NISER, Bhubaneswar, on July 9 before returning to Delhi.

Earlier this year, the President visited the state from February 28 to March 2, engaging in various programs across districts such as Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Ganjam, Khurda, and Sambalpur.

Ahead of President Droupadi Murmu’s upcoming visit from July 6 to 9, the Commissionerate Police has devised a security blueprint for the venues in Bhubaneswar where she is scheduled to visit. Commissioner of Police Sanjeeb Panda informed the media on Wednesday that comprehensive security arrangements are being put in place for the President’s programs scheduled on July 6, 8, and 9 in Bhubaneswar. She will also visit Puri for the Rath Yatra on July 7.

“We have initiated detailed consultations with officials to analyze the venues of public meetings and are focusing on the route plan due to the extensive travel involved,” Panda stated.
