President Droupadi Murmu Embarks on Six-Day Odisha Tour, Blending Spirituality, Education, and Development

President Droupadi Murmu began her six-day visit to Odisha on February 2, 2026, with a packed itinerary across five districts—Puri, Khordha, Balasore, Jajpur, and Mayurbhanj.

On February 3, she offered prayers at Maa Biraja Temple in Jajpur before attending the 12th convocation of Fakir Mohan University in Balasore, where she emphasised the importance of education and youth empowerment.

The following day, she received a ceremonial welcome at Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri, performed rituals including Pinda Daan at Swetaganga, and interacted with devotees.

Her Mayurbhanj engagements on February 4–5 included addressing a public gathering in Rairangpur, inaugurating and laying foundation stones for development projects, and visiting the Jagannath Temple in Rairangpur.

The President will also spend time at Similipal Tiger Reserve, engaging with tribal women and youth, underlining her commitment to inclusive development and tribal welfare.

This tour reflects a balanced focus on spirituality, education, regional development, and community outreach, reinforcing her deep connection with Odisha and its people.
