Preparations in Full Swing at Gundicha Temple Ahead of Rath Yatra

With the annual Rath Yatra fast approaching, construction and renovation works at Gundicha Temple are progressing rapidly under the supervision of the Odisha Bridge & Construction Corporation (OBCC).

Chief Administrator Dr. Aravind Padhee recently reviewed multiple projects, including Vallabh House, Tuniya Mahal, the kitchen annex, Jagannath Vallabh Pilgrim Centre, and Baseli Sahi Dharmashala.

He confirmed that all work will be completed before the festival, ensuring readiness for the grand occasion.

The projects are being executed in line with traditional Kalinga temple architecture, preserving cultural authenticity while enhancing facilities for devotees.

Additional plans include boundary walls for Jagannath Vallabh Pramod Udyan and Matitota Gurukul sites.

Next week, Gajapati Maharaj and other committee members will conduct a review to assess progress and readiness.

The temple administration has assured that all arrangements will be finalised in time for the Rath Yatra, one of Odisha’s most significant religious events.
