Pregnant Woman Goes Missing From Rayagada Hospital, Probe Underway
Rayagada: A four‑month pregnant woman admitted to the maternity ward of Rayagada District Headquarters Hospital has gone missing under mysterious circumstances.
The woman, a resident of JK Pur, was admitted two days ago for treatment. On Monday night, she reportedly disappeared from the ward without informing anyone.
Hospital authorities immediately alerted senior officials, and the Additional District Medical Officer (ADMO) lodged a formal complaint at the Town Police Station.
Inspector Prasanna Kumar Behera confirmed the missing report and stated that the police are reviewing CCTV footage to trace her movements.
The incident has sparked concerns over patient safety and monitoring in government hospitals.
Authorities have assured that a thorough investigation is underway to determine the circumstances behind her disappearance.
