PM to launch ‘Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan’ on Sept 17
New Delhi, Sept. 8 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan 2025 on his birthday, September 17, aiming to strengthen healthcare services for women and children across the country.
The initiative aims to improve access to quality care and enhance awareness around maternal and child health.
Union Health Minister JP Nadda, in a post on social media platform X said, as part of the campaign, 75,000 health camps will be organised across Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, Community Health Centres (CHCs), and other healthcare facilities across the country.
“These camps will provide essential services specifically designed to address the healthcare needs of women and children, supporting the government’s vision of inclusive healthcare,” he said.
Alongside the initiative, the Ministry will observe Poshan Maah (Nutrition Month) across all Anganwadi centres, promoting awareness on nutrition, maternal care, and child well-being. These efforts are intended to build healthier families and empower communities across the nation.
Urging participation from the private sector, Upasana Arora, Chair of FICCI’s Medical Value Travel Committee and Managing Director of Yashoda Super Speciality Hospital Pvt. Ltd said through her social media handle: “I appeal to all private hospitals and healthcare stakeholders to come forward and be an integral part of this Jan Bhagidaari Abhiyaan. With ‘India First’ as our inspiration, let us strengthen our collective efforts for Viksit Bharat.”
“When women are healthy, families thrive and societies flourish. This is not just about healthcare—it is about building stronger, resilient communities,” she said.
The BJP has lined up a slew of events to mark Prime Minister Modi’s 75th birthday over a two-week-long ‘seva pakhwara’ (service fortnight) across the country from September 17 to October 2.
While Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha, BJP’s youth wing, has announced organising the ‘Namo Yuva Run’ across 75 cities, expecting over 10,000 participants at each event, the Ministry of Culture will organise a painting competition on the theme of Viksit Bharat, aiming to link students with the vision of PM Modi’s “Viksit Bharat 2047”. Themes include Viksit Bharat, Atmanirbhar Bharat, and Digital India.
The Seva Pakhwada will also feature blood donation camps across 1,000 districts on September 17, with subsequent camps and cleanliness drives at schools, hospitals, transportation hubs, temples, parks, riversides, and heritage sites.
