PM Modi Rebuts Rahul Gandhi’s Operation Sindoor Allegations, Asserts Military Had Full Autonomy

(OT Webdesk)In a fiery Lok Sabha exchange, Prime Minister Narendra Modi firmly countered Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s accusations regarding Operation Sindoor, asserting that the Indian armed forces were granted complete operational freedom.

Gandhi had alleged that pilots were sent into conflict with their “hands tied,” citing Defence Attaché Captain Shiv Kumar and claiming political interference led to aircraft losses.

He also stated that India called for a ceasefire just 22 minutes into the operation and referenced former US President Donald Trump’s claims of brokering peace.

Modi dismissed these allegations, stating that the military independently decided the timing and scale of the strikes. “Pakistan was taught a hard lesson and still suffers sleepless nights,” he said.

He emphasised that it was Pakistan—not India—that pleaded for a ceasefire, and rejected any foreign influence in India’s strategic decisions.

The Prime Minister also criticised Gandhi for allegedly trusting Pakistan’s narrative over India’s armed forces, and highlighted that while most nations condemned terrorism, only three supported Pakistan. “The world stood with India—except the Congress,” Modi declared, drawing loud applause from ruling party members.

The debate underscored sharp political divides over national security and foreign policy, with Modi positioning India’s response as decisive and autonomous.
