Bhubaneswar, (Orissa Today) Jan 28: Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially launched the two-day ‘Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025,’ a flagship global investment summit organized by the state government in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday. The inauguration took place at Janata Maidan and was attended by Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Ashwini Vaishnaw, along with state ministers and prominent industry leaders.
The conclave aims to establish Odisha as the anchor of the Purvodaya Vision, positioning the state as a leading investment destination and industrial hub in India. It serves to showcase Odisha’s vast potential for investment and business opportunities.
Additionally, PM Modi inaugurated the Make in Odisha Exhibition, which highlights the state’s achievements in fostering a vibrant industrial ecosystem. This exhibition will provide a platform for industry leaders, investors, and policymakers to gather and discuss Odisha’s advantages as a preferred investment locale.
Throughout the conclave, various events such as CEOs and Leaders’ Roundtables, sectoral sessions, B2B meetings, and policy discussions will ensure focused engagement with global investors. Over 7,500 investors from both India and abroad are expected to attend.
The conclave will concentrate on five key sectors: IT, renewable energy, textiles, chemicals, and food processing. Twelve countries, including Australia, Malaysia, Japan, Germany, Poland, and Cuba, have been designated as ‘Countries of Focus’ for participation.
The state government aims to secure investments totaling ₹5 lakh crore to transform Odisha into a global industrial hub, with an anticipated signing of approximately 100 Memorandums of Understanding during this significant event.
