PM Modi, CM Naveen Patnaik encourage voters to exercise franchise

Bhubaneswar, (Orissa Today), May 13: As the fourth phase of the General Elections 2024 unfolds across 10 states and Union Territories, India celebrates the pinnacle of democratic participation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik have fervently urged every voter to join this national celebration and exercise their invaluable right to vote.

Taking to his official social media handles, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, “Today marks voting in 96 constituencies across 10 states and union territories in the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections. I am confident that citizens will turn out in large numbers, especially the youth and women. Let us fulfill our duty and fortify democracy!”

In another tweet, he emphasized the significance of the ongoing Assembly elections in Odisha, calling upon the state’s populace to assert their democratic voice.

Simultaneously, Odisha CM and BJD leader Naveen Patnaik echoed the sentiment, tweeting, “Every vote you cast strengthens the pillars of democracy. Lead the charge for development. Participate enthusiastically in the General Election 2024, joining the grand celebration of democracy.

Polling is underway in Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Telangana, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh during this crucial fourth phase. In Odisha, voters are exercising their franchise across four Lok Sabha Constituencies including Berhampur, Koraput, Nabarangpur, and Kalahandi.
