Pinaka LRGR-120 Maiden Flight: Odisha CM Praises DRDO, Credits Modi’s Leadership
Bhubaneswar, December 30: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has lauded the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) for the successful maiden flight of the Pinaka Long Range Guided Rocket (LRGR-120) at the Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur.
Calling the achievement a “milestone in India’s indigenous defence capabilities,” Majhi highlighted the role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary leadership and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s stewardship in advancing the nation’s self-reliance in defence technology.
Taking to social media, the Chief Minister expressed Odisha’s pride in being part of this breakthrough, noting that the LRGR-120 strengthens national security while furthering the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
“This success demonstrates how precision meets power. Odisha stands proud as India takes a giant leap in long-range defence innovation,” Majhi said.
The Pinaka LRGR-120 is expected to significantly enhance India’s strategic arsenal, showcasing the country’s growing expertise in developing advanced, indigenous defence systems.
