Passing Out Parade at INS Chilika: 2,010 Agniveers Graduate with Pride

(OT Webdesk)INS Chilika witnessed a stirring display of discipline and pride as the 6th batch of Agniveers marked the completion of their training with a grand Passing Out Parade (POP).

Held after sunset, the ceremony honoured 2,010 Agniveers—including 309 women—and 276 Navik (General Duty) cadets of the Indian Coast Guard.

Vice Admiral Rajesh Pendharkar, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Naval Command, served as the Chief Guest and Reviewing Officer.

The parade was conducted by Commodore B. Deepak Aneel, Station Commander at INS Chilika.

The event drew proud families, decorated veterans, sports icons, and community members, all cheering the newly minted defenders of the nation.

Demonstrations showcased the cadets’ skills acquired during six months of rigorous training.

Four outstanding Agniveers were awarded gold medals and trophies for exceptional performance.

The ceremony stood as a testament to youthful spirit, national pride, and unwavering commitment to maritime security.
