Bhubaneswar, August 29: Bollywood’s latest romantic drama Param Sundari, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, hit theatres nationwide today to an enthusiastic reception.

Directed by Tushar Jalota and produced by Dinesh Vijan, the film unfolds a heartfelt love story between Param, a North Indian man, and Sundari, a woman from Kerala, set against the backdrop of cultural contrasts and familial expectations.

Released across 2,500 screens, the film is projected to earn Rs 8–9 crore on Day 1, with trade analysts predicting double-digit figures if the momentum holds.

Early reviews highlight the palpable chemistry between the leads and the film’s vibrant soundtrack, which includes viral hits like Danger, Bheegi Saree, and Pardesiya.

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) granted a U/A certificate after minor edits, including muted and replaced words in subtitles. The final runtime clocks in at 2 hours and 16 minutes.
