Paperman’s Newspaper Display Marks National Press Day in Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar – On the occasion of National Press Day, Shashanka Sekhar Dash, popularly known as Paperman India, which is a Guinness World Records Holder, displayed his collection of newspapers at Jayadeva Bhawan.
A total of more than 500 newspapers were displayed in this exhibition. Newspapers published mainly from Odisha were displayed here, while Odisha Dailys are 240, named after Utkal – 16, named after Kalinga – 15, named after Odisha – 60, foreign papers- 17, other Indian papers – 35, named after other state – 25, weeklies – fortnightly and monthlies – 93 were displayed.

The state-level exhibition was organised by the Information and Public Relations Department of the Odisha Government.
Additional Chief Secretary Hemant Sharma inaugurated it on the morning of National Press Day on 16th November.
The exhibition, which was held for two days, was visited by the Minister of Law Prithviraj Harichandan, Jajpur MP Dr Ravindra Narayan Behera, Development Secretary Anu Garg, Bhubaneswar Mayor Sulochana Das, former MLA Suresh Rautraya and other dignitaries.
The paperman of India, was honoured by the department for his cooperation in the exhibition.
It is worth noting that Paperman India Sashanka Sekhar Dash had earlier entered the Guinness World Records, while now he is demanding state government set up a separate newspaper museum. If this is done, it will be the first newspaper museum in India.
