Padmapur Tahsildar Suspended on Corruption Charges | Odisha Govt Crackdown
The Odisha government has suspended Padmapur Tahsildar Bipin Kumar Pradhan in Bargarh district following allegations of corruption.
The decision came after the District Collector submitted a detailed report highlighting irregularities.
Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari informed the Assembly that the government will not tolerate corruption within the Revenue Department, emphasising transparency and accountability in public service.
He reiterated that strict measures are being enforced to restore public trust.
Earlier, Revenue Secretary Dr Arvind Padhee had directed all revenue offices to adopt a zero‑tolerance policy against corruption.
Officials confirmed that further inquiry will continue to ensure accountability and prevent malpractice in revenue administration.
This suspension underscores the government’s commitment to clean governance and its determination to strengthen integrity in Odisha’s revenue system.
