OSWC Hands Over ₹2.88 Cr Dividend to Odisha Govt
OSWC reported a net profit of Rs 19.22 crore during FY 2023-24 and announced a 30% dividend amounting to Rs 5.76 crore, shared equally between the Odisha government and the Central Warehousing Corporation.
The dividend cheque was formally presented to Cooperation, Handlooms, Textiles and Handicrafts Minister Pradeep Bal Samanta in the presence of senior officials, including Commissioner‑cum‑Secretary Rajesh Prabhakar Patil and OSWC Managing Director Mihir Prasad Mohanty.
Established in 1958, OSWC operates 68 warehouses across 30 districts with a combined storage capacity of 5.21 lakh metric tonnes.
The corporation has maintained a steady record of profitability, enabling regular dividend payouts.
In recent years, dividends included Rs 81.59 lakh in 2022-23, Rs 3.40 crore in 2021-22, and Rs 4.36 crore in both 2019-20 and 2020-21.
Officials highlighted that OSWC’s sustained growth reflects efficient utilisation of storage infrastructure and its expanding role in supporting Odisha’s agricultural and cooperative ecosystem.
