OSRTC halts bus service to Ayodhya for Maha Kumbh Mela 2025

Bhubaneswar, (Orissa Today) Jan 30 : The Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) has announced the cancellation of its special bus service to Ayodhya for the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 until February 4, citing unavoidable circumstances.
The decision has caused inconvenience to passengers who had planned to travel for the grand religious event, and OSRTC has expressed regret over the disruption.
In an official notice issued on its X handle, OSRTC assured that further updates regarding the service would be communicated through its social media platforms and website. Passengers seeking assistance or refunds can contact the corporation via helpline numbers 18003451122, WhatsApp at 7849052205, and 9937547773.
The Odisha government had earlier introduced a Luxury Volvo 9600 bus service from Puri, Sambalpur, Bhawanipatna, and Berhampur to Ayodhya via Varanasi and Prayagraj for the Maha Kumbh Mela, which runs from January 13 to February 26, 2025. To facilitate smooth operations, OSRTC has also set up a dedicated 24/7 helpdesk with a toll-free number (1800-345-1122) at its headquarters and in Ayodhya for passenger inquiries.
