OSRTC Bus Gutted in Salur Ghat Fire; All Passengers Safe

In a harrowing incident near the Odisha-Andhra border, an OSRTC bus travelling from Visakhapatnam to Jeypore caught fire at Salur Ghat, leaving the vehicle completely gutted.

Fortunately, all passengers managed to escape unharmed.

The fire reportedly broke out mid-journey, triggering panic among the occupants. Swift action by the driver and staff ensured a timely evacuation before the flames intensified.

Preliminary investigations suggest an electrical short circuit may have sparked the blaze.

Fire services from a nearby station responded promptly and managed to douse the flames, but the bus was already destroyed. Authorities have launched a formal investigation to determine the exact cause.
