Orissa High Court Reshuffles Judges: Key Transfers in Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur & Law Department

In a strategic move to enhance judicial efficiency across Odisha, the Orissa High Court has transferred three senior officers to new roles, effective October 28, 2025.

Shri Asanta Kumar Das has been appointed as the District and Sessions Judge in Ganjam at Berhampur. Known for his judicial diligence and extensive experience, Das is expected to bring renewed momentum to one of the state’s busiest courts.

Shri Pradyumna Kumar Nayak assumes charge as the District and Sessions Judge in Jagatsinghpur. His appointment aims to streamline case management and accelerate legal proceedings in the district.

In a notable administrative shift, Dr. Pabitra Mohan Samal transitions from the judiciary to the executive branch. He now serves as the Principal Secretary of the Law Department, Government of Odisha, Bhubaneswar.

With his legal acumen and policy expertise, Samal is poised to drive legislative reforms and strengthen departmental governance.
