Orissa High Court Cancels ASO Mains 2025 | Fresh Exam on December 7

Bhubaneswar, Nov 13: In a decisive step to uphold fairness in recruitment, the Orissa High Court has cancelled the Assistant Section Officer (ASO) Main Written Examination conducted on July 13, 2025. The move impacts 7,113 candidates who had cleared the preliminary stage.

The court’s order, issued on November 12, 2025, cited concerns over the integrity of the exam process, though specific irregularities were not detailed. A fresh examination is now scheduled for December 7, 2025, to ensure transparency and equal opportunity for all aspirants.

The rescheduled test will be held in three sittings on the same day:

  • English: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
  • General Awareness & Reasoning: 12:00 Noon – 1:00 PM
  • Mathematics: 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM

Candidates can download their e-admit cards from the Orissa High Court’s official website between November 17 (10:00 AM) and December 5 (5:00 PM). Any discrepancies must be reported to the Recruitment Cell before the deadline.

This decision comes amid heightened scrutiny of competitive exams in India, where allegations of leaks and malpractice have raised concerns nationwide. Experts advise candidates to focus on revision, accuracy, and time management ahead of the new exam date.
