OMC Shines at CCQC-2025 with 19 Gold, 2 Silver Awards for Quality Excellence

Bhubaneswar, September 16, 2025 — The Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) has once again proven its mettle in innovation and operational excellence, clinching an impressive 19 Gold and 2 Silver awards at the 7th Chapter of the Convention on Quality Concepts (CCQC-2025).

Organised by the Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI), Bhubaneswar Chapter, the two-day event held from September 13–14 spotlighted the theme “Quality Concepts for a Self-Reliant Developed India.”

OMC’s 22 participating teams showcased transformative projects across production, sales, environment, safety, healthcare, and technical expertise.

Their presentations included case studies, model demonstrations, and knowledge tests, reflecting a culture of continuous improvement and grassroots innovation.

The Gold-winning teams will advance to the National Convention on Quality Concepts (NCQC-2025), further amplifying OMC’s reputation on a national stage.

This success follows their previous triumph at the International Convention on Quality Control Circles (ICQCC) in Beijing, where they secured Gold in 2023.

OMC’s consistent performance underscores its leadership in sustainable mining practices and its commitment to quality-driven growth.

The CCQC platform continues to be a catalyst for industry-wide transformation, recognising efforts that enhance productivity, safety, and innovation at the grassroots level.
