OHPC Signs MoU with Union Bank to Boost Employee Benefits
Bhubaneswar: In a significant step towards employee welfare, the Odisha Hydro Power Corporation (OHPC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Union Bank of India (UBI) to provide enhanced financial and lifestyle benefits to its workforce.
The agreement was formalised at Lokseva Bhawan in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, senior officials from the Energy Department, OHPC, and UBI.
Under the MoU, OHPC employees will receive a comprehensive package of financial security and convenience perks.
These include personal accident insurance coverage up to Rs 1.20 crore, term life insurance of Rs 20 lakh, and an annual hospital cash benefit of Rs 30,000.
In addition, employees will enjoy banking privileges such as zero-balance savings accounts, RuPay Select Debit Cards, and extra accidental insurance worth Rs 15 lakh.
Lifestyle benefits like airport lounge access, quarterly health check-ups, and fee-free transactions—amounting to Rs 75,000 annually—are also part of the package.
Officials hailed the collaboration as a model initiative that could inspire other public sector undertakings in Odisha to adopt similar employee-centric measures.
OHPC emphasised that the partnership not only strengthens financial resilience but also enhances everyday convenience, helping attract and retain top talent in the organisation.
