Odisha’s Women Rise Globally Through Skill Training

(OT webdesk)Young women from remote districts in Odisha are rewriting their destinies through world-class skill development programs.

Thanks to the Skilled-in-Odisha initiative and the World Skill Centre (WSC), these women are securing high-paying jobs across India and abroad.

Take Anjulata Negi from Bargarh, who overcame personal loss to become a facility technician in Dubai with a Rs 6.15 lakh annual package.

Priti Sahoo from Keonjhar now earns Rs 20.16 lakh per annum on a London cruise line after training in Beauty & Wellness.

Afreen Begum from Ganjam and Jasmin Kandpan from Koraput have also carved successful careers in Chennai and Koraput, respectively, through WSC’s specialised programs.

WSC’s cutting-edge curriculum, global standards, and 100% placement record across five batches have made it a beacon of opportunity. From engineering to hospitality and wellness, the centre equips students with technical expertise, communication skills, and leadership qualities.

With rising female enrollment, Odisha is emerging as a national model for women-led skill empowerment.

These stories of grit and growth prove that when opportunity meets intent, global dreams become reality.
