Odisha’s Hat-Trick Glory: National Panchayat Awards Bring Triple Triumph

National Panchayat Awards Odisha 2025

Bhubaneswar (Orissa Today) Odisha has once again proved its mettle in grassroots governance, securing a historic hat-trick win at the National Panchayat Awards 2025. With its unwavering commitment to innovation, sustainability, and local empowerment, the state has set a benchmark for the rest of the country to follow.

This year, Odisha’s Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) outshined others through their pioneering initiatives in digital governance, environmental conservation, and community welfare programs. Among the awardees were the Panchayats from Ganjam, Kendrapara, and Mayurbhanj districts, recognised for their outstanding contributions to rural development and citizen participation.

The Chief Minister of Odisha applauded the state’s Panchayat leaders and workers, stating that the awards symbolise Odisha’s dedication to inclusive growth and development. “This hat-trick win is not just a recognition of our efforts; it’s a motivation to scale new heights in participatory governance,” he said during the felicitation ceremony.

Odisha’s focus on digital transformation has also played a key role in its success. With the implementation of e-Panchayat initiatives, the state has been able to provide seamless services to rural communities, enabling faster grievance redressal, transparent administration, and efficient utilisation of resources.

The National Panchayat Awards not only celebrate the achievements of Panchayats but also serve as an inspiration for all states to aim higher in bringing impactful changes at the local level. Odisha’s triumph this year is yet another step forward in strengthening the bridge between governance and citizen empowerment.
