Odisha Works Minister Reviews Projects, Stresses Timely Completion

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Works Minister Prithviraj Harichandan chaired a high‑level review meeting at Lok Seva Bhavan to assess project‑wise expenditure and progress across the department.

The Minister emphasised the need for the timely completion of major infrastructure projects, strict adherence to quality standards, and the fast‑tracking of newly transferred roads under the Works Department.

Special focus was placed on flagship initiatives, including the Ekamra, Samlei, and Abadha projects, alongside road, building, and bridge schemes.

Officials were directed to accelerate spending, ensure accountability, and finalise key projects swiftly to strengthen Odisha’s infrastructure growth momentum.

Senior officials present included Engineer‑in‑Chief Laxmikant Padhi, EIC (Civil) Satyabrata Behera, EIC (Roads) Dhyanchand Nayak, and Financial Advisor Ratikant Mahapatra.
