Odisha Vigilance Raids Tahasildar Prasanna Samantaray in DA Case

Cuttack/Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Wednesday carried out simultaneous raids at seven locations linked to Prasanna Samantaray, an Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) officer currently serving as Tahasildar of Kantapada in Cuttack district.

The searches were conducted following allegations that Samantaray possessed disproportionate assets (DA) beyond his known sources of income.

Acting on warrants issued by the Special Vigilance Court in Cuttack, a large team of officials, including two Additional SPs, eight DSPs, eleven Inspectors, and supporting staff, executed the operation.

Raids were carried out at his triple‑storeyed residential building in Kesara, Saheednagar, another under‑construction property in the same locality, his paternal house in Duchhia village, a relative’s residence in Laxmisagar, his official chamber at Kantapada Tahasildar office, a relative’s house in Badapaldia (Marshaghai), and his government quarters in Kantapada.

Officials are currently valuing assets, documents, and evidence seized during the searches. Further details will be released after examination of the materials.
