Bhubaneswar/Kalahandi, June 30(OT Webdesk): In a significant anti-corruption operation, Odisha Vigilance officials launched simultaneous raids across three districts targeting Dayanidhi Bagh, the Joint Director of Soil Conservation and Watershed Development.
The move follows allegations of the senior officer possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Acting on search warrants issued by the Special Vigilance Court in Bhawanipatna, officers swooped down on eight locations linked to Bagh and his family.
Properties under scrutiny include residences in Kupagaon and Bhubaneswar, a flat in Mahanadi Apartment, a low-income group (LIG) house in Chandrasekharpur, office chambers in the state capital, an under-construction site in Nabarangpur, and buildings in his spouse’s name in Chutiaguda.
Officials are reportedly combing through extensive documentation, property records, and bank account details to assess the value of the seized assets.
The raids are ongoing and form part of a larger vigilance effort to clamp down on illicit wealth accumulation in public service.
