Odisha Vigilance raids Forest Range Officer Jagatsinghpur

Bhubaneswar, Dec 20: Odisha Vigilance has launched simultaneous raids on multiple properties linked to Rajendra Kumar Samantray, Forest Range Officer of Rahama Forest Range in Jagatsinghpur, over allegations of possessing disproportionate assets.

According to officials, searches were carried out at four locations: a triple-storeyed residence in Chatara, Jagatsinghpur; a double-storeyed house in his native village Samantarayapur (PO-Dondo, Jagatsinghpur); his office at Sampur Forest Range under Cuttack Forest Division; and a government quarter inside the Jagatsinghpur Forest Range campus.

The operation was led by two Additional SPs, five DSPs, eight Inspectors, and other supporting officers.

Search warrants were issued by the Special Vigilance Judge in Cuttack.

This action is part of Odisha Vigilance’s intensified crackdown on corruption and disproportionate asset cases involving government officials.
