Odisha Vigilance Nets 310 Officials in 5-Year Anti-Corruption Drive
Bhubaneswar: In a sweeping crackdown on corruption, Odisha Vigilance has arrested 310 government officials and employees over the past five years for possessing disproportionate assets and engaging in financial irregularities.
According to official data, assets worth Rs 40.84 crore have been seized, with confiscation orders issued against 22 officials.
Between January 2023 and December 2025, Vigilance registered 683 corruption cases, resulting in 337 convictions.
The government has also confiscated the properties of six officials, depositing Rs 32.50 lakh into the state treasury.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, in his Assembly reply, reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to transparency and accountability, highlighting Vigilance’s “action mode” approach to tackling corruption across all levels of governance.
This sustained drive underscores Odisha’s determination to curb corruption and restore public trust in government institutions.
