Bhubaneswar, Apr 30 (UNI) Dhenkanal Superintendent of Excise Krishna Nayak was arrested by Odisha Vigilance on Wednesday on possession of disproportionate assets.
The arrest was made following an interception by a team of Odisha Vigilance on Tuesday near Deulasahi Road, Dhenkanal, while she was carrying unaccounted cash of Rs 3 Lakhs.
Odisha Vigilance sources said the Excise Superintendent will be forwarded to the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Dhenkanal.
Soon after an interception, simultaneous searches were conducted at five locations connected to Nayak, and she was found to have possessed 2 multi-storeyed buildings at Cuttack and Puri, 8 high-value plots, 2 benami cars (under verification), and deposits over Rs.20 Lakhs.
The Odisha Vigilance has registered a case U/s 13(2)r/w13(1)(b) P.C. (Amendment) Act, 2018 against Krishna Nayak.
