Bhubaneswar: In a decisive push toward agricultural transformation, the Odisha government launched its Rabi Campaign 2025–26 at the State Level Conference held at Krushi Bhavan Auditorium.
The campaign aims to cultivate 29.30 lakh hectares across pulses, oilseeds, vegetables, condiments, and sugarcane, with a strong emphasis on climate-smart and tech-driven farming.

Principal Secretary Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee outlined the strategic focus on pulses and oilseeds to achieve self-sufficiency, backed by a new MoU between the Department of Agriculture and ICARDA for crop variety development.
The campaign integrates flagship schemes like PMDDKY, National Pulse Mission, NMEO-Oilseed, NFSM, and PMKSY, alongside state-led initiatives such as Shree Anna Abhiyan and Balabhadra Jaivik Chasa Mission.
Horticulture expansion, soil conservation, and watershed development also feature prominently, with programs like MIDH, Coffee Mission, and MGNREGS driving sustainable growth.
