Odisha Students Shine at Tokyo Global Financial Forum, Minister Applauds Achievement
A group of seven students from Ravenshaw University, Utkal University, and Salepur Autonomous College brought pride to Odisha by presenting their fintech innovation at the Tokyo Global Financial Forum.
Their project, “TranchiFy – A Trust-Based Working Capital Platform for Next-Generation SMEs”, aims to simplify access to working capital and bank loans for small and medium enterprises.
Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj praised the students for their entrepreneurial spirit and problem-solving approach, noting that their success reflects Odisha’s growing emphasis on innovation and skill development.
The achievement stems from the Government of Odisha’s Fintech and Insurtech Certification Programme, conducted in collaboration with the National University of Singapore’s Asian Institute of Digital Finance and the Global Finance & Technology Network.
Students credited the programme for giving them international exposure and practical insights into entrepreneurship.
With applications already open, the second phase of the certification programme is set to begin soon, promising more opportunities for Odisha’s youth to showcase their talent on global platforms.
