Odisha SI Recruitment Scam: Bail Hearing Pushed to Feb 16
The Orissa High Court has deferred the bail hearing of nine accused in the Odisha Police Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment scam to February 16, 2026.
The case, which has shaken the credibility of the state’s recruitment process, continues to be investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
The scam first came to light in September 2025, when irregularities were detected just before the SI written examination. Authorities suspended the exam after uncovering evidence of malpractice.
Investigations revealed that question papers were leaked, altered, and circulated through a network with suspected international links.
So far, the CBI has filed charge sheets against 16 individuals, while several companies have been blacklisted for their alleged involvement. While some candidates have already secured bail, the key accused remain behind bars.
The scandal has raised serious concerns about transparency in recruitment processes, leaving thousands of aspirants uncertain about their future.
With the next hearing scheduled for mid-February, more revelations are expected as the probe continues.
