Odisha Showcases Culture and Semiconductor Vision at IITF 2025
New Delhi, Nov 22: The 44th India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2025 witnessed a dazzling celebration of Odisha State Day, blending tradition with modern aspirations.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated the event at Bharat Mandapam, highlighting Odisha’s rich cultural heritage and unveiling a roadmap for a “Viksit Odisha” by 2036.
The amphitheatre came alive with captivating performances of Odissi, Sambalpuri, Singha Nrutya, Ghumura, and the vibrant animal mask dance, drawing global admiration.
Alongside the cultural showcase, CM Majhi emphasised Odisha’s emergence as India’s first silicon semiconductor hub, a milestone expected to boost the economy and generate employment.
He underscored initiatives like the Utkarsh Odisha: Make-in-Odisha Conclave, which is attracting global investors, while stressing policies on renewable energy, afforestation, and sustainable development.
Special editions of Utkal Prasanga and Odisha Review were unveiled, and artisans at the Odisha Pavilion received encouragement to uphold the state’s glorious traditions.
The event was attended by MPs, senior officials, and cultural leaders, reinforcing Odisha’s dual identity as a custodian of heritage and a driver of innovation.
The celebration positioned Odisha as a key contributor to India’s journey toward self-reliance and holistic growth.
