Bhubaneswar, Nov 27: After successfully implementing the National Education Policy (NEP) in higher education, the Odisha government is now preparing to introduce it in schools across the state by 2025. On Wednesday, School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond shared details of the government’s efforts to ensure smooth adoption of the policy.
To oversee the process, a special task force committee has been established, along with six sub-committees tasked with providing specific recommendations for the NEP’s implementation. After reviewing input from these sub-committees, the task force will make its final recommendations to the government. The NEP will be formally rolled out after considering feedback from all relevant stakeholders, Gond explained.
Addressing concerns about teacher shortages, the Minister assured that the government is actively working to fill vacancies. He emphasized that the state is focused on addressing the essential needs of the education sector to enhance the quality of schooling. The government remains committed to ensuring the successful integration of the NEP into the state’s school system.
